LexisNexis holds info on some of the following public records
  • Bankruptcy
  • Death certificates
  • Tax Liens/Judgments
  • Evictions

LexisNexis/Dolan Information

Minneapolis, MN 55402

Keep in mind, "LexisNexis" is considered to be information brokers, used primarily by attorneys, collectors, law enforcement, skip tracers & private investigators. They don't have to follow the same rules as every other credit bureau because they don't call themselves a consumer credit bureau. Hmmm. I've heard that several banks have started using information gleaned from these "information brokers" to verify the identity of credit applicants, but they won't admit it. As more consumers become affected by these tactics, I'm sure legislation will be enacted someday to regulate the "info brokers" and the banks that use their intrusive information. Have you been affected by this new form of invasion of privacy? Has a bank ever asked you a series of weird questions with names and addresses you may or may not recognize? If the answer is yes, you've been a victim. What's worse, is if you don't answer correctly, you'll be denied credit and on the "we're sorry" letter, they won't mention the "info broker" they used to make their credit decision, only the credit bureau report. Are you mad yet? It oughtta be illegal....
